Happy new year! At iREX 2022 (International Robot Exhibition 2022) held in March last year, we introduced a 4-legged robot, Bex. In April, we opened the Future Lab HANEDA and started a Proof of Concept for the autonomous mobile type service robot, Nyokkey in the restaurant. – Achieving High-Speed Scanning Visual Inspection for Complex Curved Surfaces – Kawasaki Heavy Industries., Ltd. has developed and started selling an Visual Inspection robot system that performs high-speed Visual Inspections of complex curved surfaces. The newly developed “High-Speed Pulse Output Function” technology enables high-speed Visual Inspection of products with complex curved surfaces by equipping the robot’s hand with a line camera. On April 20, 2022, Kawasaki launched “Future Lab HANEDA” for open-innovation-based development of robotics products and services and demonstrations for their potential real-life implementation at HANEDA INNOVATION CITY, a large-scale, multi-purpose complex with retail facilities and offices located adjacent to Haneda Airport.
