Kawasaki Heavy Industries Robot Division has been awarded Platinum status, the highest rating possible, in the Validated Assessment Program (VAP), a third-party audit that evaluates compliance with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct.
RBA is an international initiative to promote corporate social responsibility in global supply chains. The Code of Conduct sets forth standards for safe working conditions, treating workers with respect and dignity, taking responsibility for environmental impacts, and conducting business ethically, and requires that each of these standards be met through the management system. The Code of Conduct is also a standard that we require our workers to follow. In accordance with this code of conduct, a VAP audit is conducted by a third-party organization accredited by RBA, and a status is issued according to the evaluation score.
In this audit, the robotics divisions in the Akashi and Nishi-Kobe plants were recognized for proper management and operation in the areas of labor, health and safety, environment, ethics, and management systems, achieving a score of 200 points, which earned them Platinum status, the highest rating possible.
Kawasaki Robot Division is promoting sustainable management through fair and honest business operations as well as thorough legal compliance in order to realize a sustainable society. We will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society while deepening cooperation with our stakeholders.
