Asami Sasao, who has been engaged for many years in the development of industrial robot control software within the Robot Business Division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, has been selected as one of the awardees of “IFR’s Women in Robotics 2026,” organized by the International Federation of Robotics (IFR).

IFR’s Women in Robotics is an international recognition program that honors women who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of robotics. Since its establishment in 2024, the program has selected approximately ten awardees each year from around the world.

This award marks the first time Kawasaki Heavy Industries has received the IFR’s Women in Robotics distinction, recognizing the company’s continued efforts in technological development, business creation, and human resource development within its robotics business, and highlighting their impact on the global robotics industry.

Guided by its purpose, “Unlocking Human Ingenuity to Create Robotics that Enrich the Future,” the Robot Business Division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries has long pursued the realization of a society in which people and robots work together to create new value.
