In 2018, Kawasaki Robotics increased its European order volume by more than 27 percent compared to 2017. A further increase of 24 percent is expected for 2019. In order to continue to promote this growth course in a targeted and sustainable manner, the global supplier of industrial robots is relying on an expanded management team for its EMEA headquarters in Neuss. Ralf H. Gronemann, most recently Sales Director Germany for FANUC Germany, joined Kawasaki Robotics in 2019. As the new Sales Director EMEA, he has more than 20 years of experience in sales of technical and automation solutions – among others at Bosch Rexroth and Rockwell Automation.
New expertise for growth: Management team systematically strengthened
Carsten Stumpf, General Manager EMEA and Marketing Manager for many years, moves up as Vice President and supports Kawasaki Robotics Germany President Kenji Bando in the strategic and operational business. Daniel Tillmann, a long-standing expert in automation technology, assumes the role of Sales Manager Germany and systematically implements an optimization of the German-speaking sales region. Egbert Schmidts, previously Project Manager at DB Schenker, will strengthen the management team as Office Manager and will be responsible, among other things, for the new location in Neuss and the optimisation of EMEA-wide processes.
Increasing demand for automation from SMEs
Recently, Kawasaki Robotics’ strong focus on medium-sized companies in Germany and Europe has proven its worth, as has the rapidly growing market in North Africa and the Middle East, where it has successfully positioned itself. Vice President Carsten Stumpf explains: „Organic and sustainable growth has absolute priority for us. In particular, the increasing demand for customized automation solutions in medium-sized businesses is a decisive factor in this. With now 70 employees at the EMEA headquarters in Neuss, the market shares are to be continuously expanded in the coming year, says Stumpf: „We see ourselves exposed to strong competition. We are therefore working hard to further improve the perception of the Kawasaki brand in the Robotics segment and to clearly demonstrate the advantages of our technology and our solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Until April 5, 2019, Kawasaki Robotics Germany, together with the Japanese parent company Kawasaki Heavy Industries and the European divisions Motors Europe, Gas Turbine Europe and Precision Machinery UK, will present current innovations, trends and products (Hall 11, Stand E55) of the global group of companies.
