Greeting from the GM

A Happy New Year!2017 witnessed steady economic growth and increased capital investment both in Japan and in the world. An increasing number of robots were installed in many industries. In response, Kawasaki Robotics stepped up production in China and built a new production line for clean robots at Nishi-Kobe Works in Japan.

2018 marks the 50th anniversary of Kawasaki’s robot business. We are evolving from a manufacturer of industrial robots to a fully integrated robot manufacturer. Accordingly, we showcased many new technologies and products at the International Robot Exhibition (iREX) 2017 in Tokyo. Our exhibits included Successor, a new robot system that transfers skills to the next generation in order to cope with the aging society; duAro, a collaborative/co-existing dual-arm robot; Vercia, a robotic operating table, and a humanoid robot. These have attracted great attention from companies, academic and government organizations.

This year we will continue to work closely with our customers and contribute to society. We look forward to sustainable growth together with all our partners, and we appreciate your support.
